The winners of the North West Society of Chartered Accountants awards 2013 were announced at a recent ceremony held at the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool. Businesses and professionals from across the North West attended the event to celebrate achievements over the past 12 months.
Taylor Patterson sponsored the award of ‘Accountancy Firm of the Year’ which is an award that recognises the work of accountancy firms, small or large whose strong professional relationships, commercial awareness and innovative services have helped their clients to achieve success. The award was won by PM+M, who fought off a shortlist featuring stiff competition from Moore and Smalley, Cassons, & Lamont Pridmore.
The winners were revealed following a judging panel compromising of the competition’s organisers and sponsors, with winners presented with an engraved glass trophy by journalist and broadcaster Tony Livesey.
Mark Schofield, president of the NWSCA said: “The awards recognise and celebrate commitment to excellence and it has been inspiring to be involved in this year’s competition and judging process. I’d like to congratulate all our winners on their achievements; and to thank our sponsors for their contributions to this year’s awards.”
Gillian Bardin said: “The NWSCA Awards are very highly regarded, and to be involved in the judging panel enabled an insight into the accountancy firms of the North West. The candidates which entered were of a very high standard and calibre, and I congratulate PM+M on taking the accountancy firm of the year award. The awards evening was a fantastic night and a great venue, filled with an array of successful businesses from the region.”
