During September, Team TP have been very active once again having fun monkeying around at Go Ape in Rivington.
The day out was a result of Taylor Patterson’s participation in the Lancashire Cycle Challenge. The challenge saw work colleagues and organisations across Lancashire compete to see who could get the highest percentage of their team on a bike over a three week period in July.
In terms of numbers over the course of the three weeks Team TP achieved the following:
As a result, Taylor Patterson finished in 2nd place in the 20 – 49 employee category and were rewarded with Go Ape vouchers among several prizes.
Following some basic safety training, staff on the day enjoyed the tree top adventure which initially involved manovering high amongst the trees along the rope obstacles, including rope ladders and wooden beams. The adventure then became more challenging as staff enjoyed a 200 metre zip wire over the edge of Rivington Reservoir followed by leaping off several tarzan swings.
Louise Potter Director, commented “The day out was a great experience and extremely good fun, with lots of laughter as we climbed and swung through the trees. The team all worked together supporting and encouraging each other particularly those afraid of heights!”
At the end of the adventure Team TP were all presented with certificates to mark their achievement as well as a few sore throats from the tarzan calls on the zip wires!
