The Foxton Centre – Our 2015 Charity

We are delighted to announce that our chosen charity for 2015 is The Foxton Centre.

The Foxton Centre aims to work with the most marginalised communities in Preston to provide them with opportunities to flourish. The centre has helped support rough sleepers, people with alcohol abuse issues and others in the community who need support, for over 40 years.  They are currently running 12 different projects including:

•  Community Café
•  Green Fingers Allotment Project
•  No Second Night Out for those who are new to rough sleeping
•  Safelink – a project that works with young people aged 12- 18
•  Fox Kidz and Fox Chixx for children aged 6 – 16.

Since starting its charity initiative in 2007, Taylor Patterson has set out to work with local charities each year with the main aim of raising funds to make a difference to the charity. In recent years we have also aimed to raise the profile of the chosen charity to our clients and professional contacts via Taylor Patterson’s website, e-bulletins and social media platforms.

Tim Keightley, CEO, The Foxton Centre, commented “The Foxton Centre are delighted and honoured to be chosen as Charity of the Year by such a prestigious organisation as Taylor Patterson. This presents us with a marvellous opportunity to showcase our work in new arenas, to form new business relationships and to learn from the experience of working with a leading Lancashire based financial firm.”

Gillian Bardin, Managing Director, added “Everyone at Taylor Patterson is looking forward to working with Tim and the team at The Foxton Centre. We are hoping to get involved in the numerous projects they run to help make a difference to a worthy local charity”.

For 2015 the Charity Committee have already started planning a calendar of fundraising events. Future events being planned include a golf day and our ever popular charity quiz, now in its 9th year. Staff will continue with monthly dress down days but instead of staff donating £1 they will donate an item of food for The Foxton Centre’s food bank.
